- Porter Records is proud to announce the re-issue of Joe Chambers "New World". An excellent recording from 1976 that originally came out on a small label called Infinite. Lots of funky bass, spacious Fender Rhodes and of course amazing drumming.

- Also coming soon is a retrospective of Odean Pope's trio work that brings back a collection of out of print recordings! This will be presented in two separate releases titled "What Went Before Vol.1" and "What Went Before Vol.2". Odean is currently working on a new trio recording for Porter Records.

- The Misled Children join the family of Porter Records! The Misled Children have worked closely with the mysterious Clutchy Hopkins. They have learned a lot working with master Clutchy and bring their strong sense of organic rhythm and beats to the masses. It's unfair to simply call this music hip hop as it is much more than just that. If you are looking for something new, look no further.

- Henry Grimes and Rashied Ali join the Porter family with a new duo recording titled "Going to the Ritual". Two amazing musicians within the jazz community who play effortlessly off each other.

- Porter Records has just signed a deal with EMI Finland to release 4 early works by Heikki Sarmanto that include "Counterbalance", "Everything is it", "Like a Fragonard" and "Flowers in the Water"

Somewhat of a departure recording for Ted Daniel who at the time was making some very heavy free-jazz. This recording from 1974 has a very spacious feel to it, due in part to the addition of a Fender Rhodes, a vibraphone and electric bass. Contains additional 14 minute track that was not on the original album. Release date 5/20/08
